Example of Report #1 using "psp"
as the keyword.

This is the first page of the report and is titled "Keywords". There are 100
keywords from Overture and 100 Keywords from Google sorted by popularity. I find
it interesting that both search engines show psp movie and psp video as highly
searched terms. Hmmmm! Any thoughts here? We have 2 distinct terms with high
search popularity that mean the same thing.
The psp market is huge as you will see on the second page of this report. Psp
stands for the Sony Play Station Portable. Very popular among teens. I
personally know next to nothing about this which is why I selected it to use as
an example. Completely unbiased.
Moving on we next have a screenshot of the second page of the report.

In this portion of the report we combine the keywords from Overture and Google
remove the duplicates and query the software for these results. The actual
report will contain between 100 and 200 individual keywords.
Don't worry if you do not understand what each column represents. They are fully
explained in each report.
This section of the report is the "Workhorse". It doesn't matter if you are
investigating a market to enter or if you are working on optimizing an existing
site. This is where you start. Knowing what terms people search for and in what
quantities is absolutely essential. Then take a look at the "Results" column to
see how much competition there is for this keyword. And finally, get an idea of
what competitors are willing to pay for advertising placement for that keyword.
But wait...
We identify the "Sweet Spot" for you!
If you scroll down the report
page you will see an area highlighted in yellow. This is the area that many
marketers call the Sweet Spot. It is the group of keywords that get 200 to 1000
searches per month. It does not mean that they are flawlessly profitable it
means that this area is often times under marketed in favor of higher searched
terms.

Can you see anything in this sweet spot? I can see that there must be a ton
of accessories for the psp. Look, we have tubes, masks, firmware, graphics,
upgrades, downgrades etc. Maybe these are good niche markets to start with. Are
you ready to jump on this? Wait a minute, the top bid for 9 of the 21 keywords
is 20 cents or less. This tells me that either the products offered are sold at
a very low profit margin and/or the keywords are not converting very well.
Either way more product research is required.
On the other hand if you have knowledge in this area and you love your psp it
looks like many of the keywords here are ripe for the taking. Many have results
under 1000 which indicates there are less than 1000 pages that contain this
keyword. That is not many in the Internet world. Make as many webpages/blog
postings as you can focusing on these keywords. The search engines will love you
and reward you with high search ranking for these keywords.

The format for this report is laid out
identical to Report #1, The first page is the raw keywords found relating to
your main keyword. The second page is the real Statistics of each of the
keywords generated.

Lateral Keywords are often times overlooked. When research is
done on a market we are usually told to drill down and narrow our market focus.
To an extent I agree with this practice however, lateral keywords broadens the
search and can be an excellent way to corner your market from the side door.
These keywords are derived from Meta Tags of sites relating to
your main keyword. The importance of this is simply... "The
majority of the keywords in this report do not show up in conventional keyword
research tools." Very powerful in finding ignored keywords that
relate to your market and your customers.

This report is sorted by the R/S ratio providing you with the
most under utilized keywords first. Scan through the list and look for unique
keywords that relate to your market. An open-minded approach to this report will
result in you coming up with a handful of unique keywords that you can and
should exploit to the fullest. Your competition is probably not doing this!
The rest of the columns are identical to Report #1 so the same criteria pertains
to this report.
